Man charged with animal abuse, accused of beating dog with frying pan
The dog’s skull was dented after it was beaten with frying pan,
according to Orange County deputies.
A dog beaten by Darin Thomas Christopher on Feb 20, 2010 was taken to a veterinarian due to injuries. The dog had lost two teeth during the beating, had to have two others removed and another two were loose. The dog also had a broken jaw that required it to be wired shut, and was observed overnight because doctors feared the animal's brain would swell, reports show.
Darin Christopher had used a fry pan to hit the dog in the head. A witness, the elderly woman who is the owner of the dog and who was punched and threatened by Christopher, said Christopher also punched and kicked the dog in the head and body.
